Sometimes you hear a voice through the door calling you.

As a fish out of water hears the waves.

Come back

Come back

This turning toward what you deeply love saves you.

Rumi

Love after Love

The time will come

when , with elation,

you will greet yourself arriving

at your own door, in your own mirror,

and each will smile at the other's welcome

and say, sit here. Eat.

You will love again the stranger who was your self.

Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart

to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you have ignored

for another, who knows you by heart.

Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photograpghs, the desperate notes,

peel your own image from the mirror

Sit. Feast on your life.

Derek Walcott

Love The Questions

Be patient towards all that is unresolved in your heart

And try to love the questions themselves

Like locked rooms and like books that are written in a foreign tongue

Do not seek for the answer's that cannot be given

For you would not be able to live them

And the point is to live everything

Live the questions now

And perhaps without knowing it

You will live along some day into the answers

Rainer Maria Rilke
